Sergeant Snopel was a retired Human male commando trainer who resided at Tansarii Point Station where he would teach novice commando trainees the commando fundamentals. Stories have it he fought on Geonosis, during the beginning of the Clone Wars[1]. He was the first to wear black Imperial shock trooper armor.

History[edit | edit source]

Sergeant Snopel participated in the Battle of Talus, where he made sure that Imperial forces were deployed correctly.[2] Some time during 1 ABY, Sgt. Snopel was tasked with commanding a TIE Bomber group, since the usual training officer was not available. His objective was to command the TIE Bomber group to destroy abandoned homes for training purposes. With him in the bomber command center was another Imperial officer working alongside him. As the bombers approached a cluster of homes, Sgt. Snopel noticed that all of the homes were marked for demolition, even occupied ones.

Snopel ordered the officer to abort the mission, but the officer stubbornly refused. When it became clear that innocent civilians could be killed, Sgt. Snopel began to scuffle with the officer. After a brief struggle, Snopel subdued the officer and tossed him into the brig. When Snopel explained to his superiors what had happened, they stationed him on Tansarii Point Station. It was their desire to use Sgt. Snopel as an example to teach all new recruits what happens when you disobey orders, even at the cost of innocent lives.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Snopel appeared as a non-player character in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online-role playing game developed by Sony and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
