"From Garqi we're not getting much, but all indications are that the Yuuzhan Vong have landed, assumed control, and are putting programs into effect for whatever their ends are."
Leia Organa Solo[src]

In 25 ABY, during the Yuuzhan Vong War between the Yuuzhan Vong species and the New Republic, the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the planet Garqi.[1] The planet was unprepared to resist the invasion and was quickly conquered.[2] Garqi was ravaged and most of the population was enslaved by the invaders who depopulated the planet.[3] Survivors organized a resistance movement against the invaders and Yuuzhan Vong turned the planet as a training ground for their Chazrach warriors. The New Republic later sent a scout mission on the planet and discovered a flaw in Yuuzhan Vong Vonduun crab armors as it came into contact with Ithorian bafforr tree pollen.[1]
