"Welcome to the 7-Gee Lounge, sir. I'm your host, EV-7G7. Would you like a drink?"

The 7-Gee Lounge was a cantina inside the Mos Espa Grand Arena complex on the planet Tatooine.

Description[edit | edit source]

7-Gee Lounge was part of the Mos Espa Grand Arena complex, on Tatooine. It had a droid as a bartender, EV-7G7, who served juri juice and bantha blasters, among other drinks. EV-7G7 moved via a trench in the balcony, in order to provide a quicker service to its costumers. The cantina had a small stage which was set up for performers. In 32 BBY, the entertainers included two musicians: a Wookiee and an Ortolan who played a nalargon.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn visited the cantina while searching for the junkdealer Watto, in order to place a bet on Anakin Skywalker for the Boonta Eve Podrace. Having found only Watto's flunky with his friend Kreg, Jinn asked EV-7G7 for two juri juices to offer both individuals in order for Watto's flunky to help him find Watto. The deed eventually proved successful as the Jedi ended up completing his objective.[1]

The 7-Gee Lounge was also a favorite drinking spot of the podracer Teemto Pagalies.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The 7-Gee Lounge appears in the 1999 video game Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace during the Mos Espa Arena level. However, the events of this level of the game somewhat contradict the ones depicted in the movie, as the bet against Sebulba happened inside the podrace hangar.[2]

In the official strategy guide, it is referred to as "7-G Lounge".[3]

Part of the music that is played in the 7-Gee Lounge is also heard in the Telos IV cantina in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.[4]
