A Certain Point of View (short story)
Template:Short story "A Certain Point of View" is a short story written by Charlene Newcomb (with illustrations by Mike Vilardi and Daniel Horne) that was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 8 by West End Games in November 1995. It was later reprinted in the short story anthology Tales from the Empire which was published by Bantam Spectra in November 1997 and was also made available online at Hyperspace on April 28, 2006. It takes place immediately after the Destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY.
Plot summary[edit | edit source]
The Kuari Princess was a luxury liner that was operated by Galaxy Tours. This particular trip was the Relgim Run, from Endoraan through Marmoth, Aris and Vykos to Mantooine, passing through the Maelstrom between Aris and Vykos.
Celia Durasha was a lieutenant serving aboard the luxury liner Kuari Princess. She became reacquainted with Lieutenant Adion Lang who was on-board to arrest Detien Kaileel who was suspected of smuggling weapons to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. They had been lovers on their home planet of Lankashiir.

Newcomb was asked to base the story on a scene featured on the cover of West End Games' Riders of the Maelstrom so it could be shown in the Journal alongside the tale.
